Forever Young

I was watching football and this commercial came on. It actually first aired during the Super Bowl in February. I didn’t think anything of it at the time, but this time it caught my attention immediately. It further proves how timeless Bob Dylan is and how his music in itself is “forever young.”

One Response to “Forever Young”

  1. This makes me curious about how Bob feels about the commercialization of his music. Clearly he’s still alive and would actually be able to see this and undoubtedly have an opinion on it. Does he have total control over the rights to his music? Was this a studio decision or did he write off on it?

There’s a line between pop-culture reference and exploitation, and when you use this sort of imagery in a form that its only purpose is to sell a product (“Buy Pepsi now because America has always bought Pepsi”), I would have to assume that Bob doesn’t really dig on this kind of thing.
